Connexis offers NZQA recognised training and apprenticeships for New Zealand’s infrastructure workforce in the Civil, Energy, Telecommunications and Water industries. We are passionate about creating a sustainable infrastructure workforce for Aotearoa, which responds to the needs of industry, both now and in the future. This includes improving access to training and encouraging diversity to reach underrepresented groups such as women, Māori, and Pasifika.
What is infrastructure?
Infrastructure is what keeps New Zealand connected – this includes the roads you use to take you from Wellington to Auckland, the pipes that bring fresh water, the electricity network you use to charge your phone, and the Wi-Fi network that lets you scroll through TikTok.
Does this kind of work sound like you?
- Digging up dirt with a massive excavator so a new hospital can be built.
- Connecting a high voltage cable to put the lights on in a new suburb.
- Laying pipes so that a community has fresh water again.
How Connexis helps
- We have arrangements with training providers for off-job learning, and a Learning Management System (LMS) for online learning, and we can coordinate all of this for you.
- We set programmes, evaluate assessments, and support employers and learners to obtain nationally recognised micro-credentials and qualifications through apprenticeships and traineeships.
- By signing up with us, you’ll be able to earn money as you complete your apprenticeship or training programme, working, and learning as you go. Research has found that those who go straight into an apprenticeship will have earnt on average $165,000 more than BA, BComm, BSc graduates by the time they turn 28, pretty cool right? Industry training will give you a head start in saving money to buy that new car you always wanted, invest in a house of your own, and allow you to learn life skills to work on your own DIY projects.
