Aquaculture New Zealand, Nelson Regional Development Agency, NMIT, and the Marine Farming Association teamed up to deliver an exciting day for 17 students from Nelson and Tasman high schools, exploring career opportunities in aquaculture.
A huge thank you to Moana New Zealand for sharing their expertise in nurturing oyster spat, and to MacLab (NZ) Ltd for showing how mussel farming plays a key role in nutraceuticals. The Aquaculture team at NMIT also gave insights into their courses and how they perform health checks on salmon using goldfish!
