Putting your hand up and taking on responsibility goes a long way. Those that show initiative may be able to upskill through Primary ITO courses as well as the potential to take part it in GoHort’s Emerging Leaders Development Program.
Thomas Brothers also supports those who are passionate about horticulture. Gain an industry-specific qualification or credits in Level 2 and 3. Qualifications may allow you to move into more technical-based roles such as planting, mechanical, quality control, supervisor, manager, HR, office-based work, cool store manager or forklift driver.
While the industry is known to be seasonal, Thomas Brothers also require staff all year round – picking, in the packhouse, the night shift from 5 – 9 pm, or school holiday work.
