LifeLab attended the Motueka High Careers Roadshow – it was a great afternoon interacting with students and parents and sharing the new Nelson Tasman careers website – LifeLab.
We showed everyone what the site has to offer – events, resources, handy links, industry info, epic videos and blogs of local young people in a range of regional roles.
It was great to see all the students thinking about their next steps and planning for their future. The hall was filled with local industries showcasing the many opportunities on offer such as, Talley’s, NTI, Fire and Emergency New Zealand, New World, NMIT Te Pūkenga, ETCO, Prolam, Nelson Marlborough Health and Scott Construction.
As well as Thomas Bros highlighting their demand for a variety of role beyond fruit picking, packing and pruning. They are seeking a range of engineers, lab technicians, machinery operators, logistics, health and safety, managers, and supervisors – so many options!
We were right next to Joey from Connected who was highlighting Youth Employment Success – another great website which offers ways for students to interact with employers / businesses, such as a CV review or coffee chat.
