EPIC is a career promotion tool dedicated to inspiring and guiding young people towards fulfilling careers in the infrastructure sector. Their website offers a wealth of resources to help you understand the various roles available, the skills required, and the pathways to success.
The infrastructure sector is exciting because the challenges and the settings are so different. From emergency works to building new roads or wind farms, laying broadband cables and improving stormwater and wastewater systems, it’s the sector that keeps the country connected and humming. Frontline roles are varied too. Work machinery on an epic scale, manage traffic technology, protect the environment, communicate with communities and manage teams. Or work your way up to become a designer, engineer, surveyor or lab technician in one of NZ’s biggest industries? The possibilities are endless!
